What Counts as Fair Wear and Tear on Lease Vehicles?
Vehicle deterioration counts as fair wear and tear when caused by normal usage. This shouldn’t be confused with damage, which happens because of a specific event, like an impact, inappropriate item storage, poor treatment or negligence.
When Should Vehicles be Brought in to be Appraised?
It is advised that the vehicle should be brought in for roughly six weeks before it is meant to be returned. This gives you time to have any unacceptable wear and tear fixed.
In addition to lease return inspections, we can offer further services at our car body repair centre. Our team can also manage scratch repairs, dent removals and non-fault accident repairs for clients in and around Farnborough.
Should the Car be Washed Beforehand?
Before assessing the vehicle, try and make sure it’s been washed and thoroughly cleaned. However, it is important to remember to allow time for the car to dry. Water lingering on the paintwork can hide faults.
What Needs to be Inspected?
Our team will inspect the aesthetic condition of the vehicle's bodywork, trims and wheels. We also assess all other elements of your vehicle’s condition using specialised equipment.
What Happens if Damage is Found?
With over 50 years of experience, we tailor our service to each unique situation. Our team will advise on the necessary steps once the car has been assessed.
