WHAT ARE ADAS AND WHY ARE THEY IMPORTANT?
ADAS stands for Advance Driver Assistance Systems and these systems are designed to help motorists make their driving experience safer and easier. Most cars made in the last 7 years have some sort of ADAS fitted to them such as emergency braking, adaptive cruise control or lane keeping assist as well as many more.

These systems rely on various types of sensors so the car can detect its surroundings and make decisions on your behalf if it feels necessary to take out the human error aspect and increase safety. These systems must be recalibrated if any of these sensors are disturbed during repair. For example, a radar that is out of alignment by 2 degrees is 8 meters out of alignment at its maximum operating range and may not detect potential hazards correctly putting the occupants in danger.
RECALIBRATION IS NECESSARY IF YOUR VEHICLE HAS HAD:
WHEEL ALIGNMENT
(this could potentially change the thrust angle of the car and the forward facing sensors on current settings could be looking at a slightly different angle)

(If the bumper has been removed where radar sensors are)
